Lakme Lip Love Lip Care - Peach - Review

LAKME LIP LOVE LIP CARE – PEACH

I was so thrilled to get hold of this product and as soon as I saw it online, I ordered the two variants – Peach and Cherry.
As far as now, it is available at amazon online. You can get yours there.

About the product:
Brand: lakme
Product: lip care
Quantity: 3.8g
Cost: 200 INR

WHAT THE COMPANY CLAIMS:
·         Tinted sticks with balmy cores
·         Creamy inner core that offers superior moisturisation for soft and supple lips.
·         Outer swirl of colour that gives your lips a lovely tint.
·         SPF 15 protects your lips from sun damage.
·         Super moisturising lip balms available in four variants - Cherry, Vanilla, Strawberry and Peach

Usage Instructions:
Step 1: Twist up the stick so that the dual core balm is visible
Step 2: Use one hand to start at the corner of your bottom lip and work your way to the other side
Step 3: Repeat the same for your upper lip as well
Step 4: Apply evenly and liberally as often as needed

My experience on using the product:
This winter makes our lips as dry as a parched land and you slather on your lip balms and yet there remains an unquenchable lip. I was in search of a good product to tackle this winter and then I saw this. Read on to know how this product fared for me.

The product comes in a packaging that has become common for all the lip care brands. This particular product contains an orange base and a twist up transparent cap. It looks easy to carry.
The product itself contains a central lip balm like content in an off white colour. Surrounding the lip balm, you have the content which gives the colour to the lips. The product itself is not hard and I expected it to be.

On application, it gives good moisturization to your lips. It glides smoothly. Your lips get an instant healthy look.

But coming to the ‘tint’, I am sorely disappointed. I think I got fooled by the outer orange colour and expected it to be orangish. But this is colourless. May be, if you have got white lips, it will give a light tint. But the mortal ones with pink or pigmented lips will not get any colour from it.
This product also has a fruity smell, which is mild and  doesn’t bother you.

On one application, it stays for some 2 hours without any food intake or any drink. If you are eating, it completely goes off. But it does leave behind a softer lips. The ‘lip balm’part of this product is so ‘wow’and I feel it is better than the baby lips range. But it does let you down in the tint department.

Pros:
1. Affordable at 200INR
2. Moisturizes your lips
3. Stays for 2 hrs without food
4. Has SPF 15 which is more than enough if you do have normal lips
5. Gives your lips a healthy boost
6. It makes your lips soft just after one application
7. It does not spread

Cons:
1. Though 200INR is affordable, it is still more than the other lip care products which gives somewhat similar effects.
2. This particular variant has verly little tint, which is literally ‘no tint’. It doesn’t show on your lips at all. On application you can see that your lips look shiny.

FINAL VERDICT:
You can get the cherry or the strawberry variants, where there is little tint.
But if you need a good lip balm without tint, then you can go for this one.

ORGANIX THICK AND FULL BIOTIN AND COLLAGEN SHAMPOO REVIEW

ORGANIX BIOTIN AND COLLAGEN SHAMPOO – REVIEW

Organix is a brand which claims to use organic products. They have shampoos, conditioners, hair sprays, root boosters, serums, oils and more.

I started experiencing heavy hair fall two years back and I still have not recovered from it.I have been trying various shampoos. But nothing helped much. My hair had become thin and dull and  not very much with volume.

I came to know about volumizing shampoos just recently. I don’t know even now how I was unaware of those types of shampoos.

Anyway, coming to the shampoo. I was surfing for a good volumizing shampoo and I had many results shown. But it was a little confusing and I was at my wits end.

Finally I decided to buy from Organix brand as they were much raved about in the internet sites.
But the next problem was in getting the shampoo itself. Who knew it would be that difficult to get it?
Once again I went into a searching spree and I learned that they could be bought online from Flipkart, Purpllee and Amazon( as far as I know)

But the Biotin and Collagen shampoo was out of stock everywhere and I ended up bying their Cherry Blossom and Ginseng shampoo after reading reviews.

And now, finally after months, I have got this. Enough of my story and now let us see whether the shampoo is worth its praise.

This shampoo comes in a big bluish purple sturdy plastic bottle. As with all the Organix shampoos, this too contains a golden flip cap.

The shampoo itself is creamy in consistency. It is a very pale violet in colour. You cannot appreciate the colour from the bottle. You can see the colour very well in the picture below, where I have kept a white paper as a  background. It is also somewhat runny in consistency.

The ingredients list is mentioned at the back of the shampoo bottle. As the company claims, the shampoo is free of sulphate based surfactants and parabens. But you could still see a whole lot of chemicals. And also which shampoo doesn’t?
Now coming to my experience with the shampoo.

I mixed it with equal parts of water before applying on to my hair. I did not oil my hair the previous day just to find out its effectiveness. Even then, it didn’t lather much. And I ended up using it twice.
Even while washing my hair, I could feel my hair texture becoming a little different. I cannot say how exactly.

After washing, I air dried my hair. And the results were like what I expected. The shampoo did not disappoint me. I felt like I had little more volume to my hair when I tied it up in ponytail. Also, it made my ends smooth. Though it made my hair into knots while washing, after drying, my hair was easy to untangle. There was no breakage or dry or rough ends and I did not experience hair fall.

All these results were without conditioner and I don’t  think I am in need of one anyway. These are all my experiences only and I have a hair between straight and wavy and a little oily. I usually end up with oily hair after two days, but this shampoo didn’t make my hair that oily.

PROS:
1              1.Gives good amount of volume. Just an illusion of volume because this doesn’t make your  hair     grow. The components in the shampoo are made in such a way that they form a coat over your each strand and make it look healthier and fuller.

CONS
1.The smell may be bothersome for some people

2.The bottle is not travel friendly, but you also have smaller sixed bottles

3.If you have dry hair, it may cause more dryness as the ingredients are meant to dry your hair

4.Availability. This one shampoo of organix tend to be out of stock most of the times.

MY RATING: 9/10
